What Does APK Mean and Where Is It Safe From?

APK stands for Android Package Kit — the file format used to install apps on the Android operating system. Apps that are downloaded and installed directly outside of a regular app store come in this format.

The takabet Android app is available as an APK, which must be obtained through the official channel. There is also a separate official version for iOS users. The important thing is that only installing an APK from the official source will keep your account and personal information secure.

For more details about the takabet app — including the iOS version and app features — you will find the full information on that page.

Install Step by Step

Installing the takabet APK on an Android phone is straightforward. Follow the steps below and you will be done without any difficulty.

01

Get the File from the Official Source

Obtain the APK file through the official takabet channel. Do not use files sent from any third-party sites or messaging apps.

02

Allow Installation from Unknown Sources

When you open the file, Android will show a security prompt. Turn on the option "Allow installs from this source" — this applies only to this file.

03

Open the APK File

Tap on the downloaded APK file from your phone's file manager or notification bar. The installation process will begin.

04

Tap the Install Button

The screen will show the app details and a list of permissions. Read through them once, then tap "Install" and wait for the process to finish.

05

Open the App

Once installation is complete, the takabet icon will appear on your home screen or app drawer. Open the app from there.

06

Log In and Get Started

When the app opens, log in to takabet with your username and password. New users can register directly from the app.

How to Update the takabet APK

takabet App Updates and New Versions

Don't Miss the New Version

takabet regularly releases new versions of the app — each update includes new games, improved performance and security patches. Some features may not work properly on older versions.

The update process is simple: when a new APK becomes available on the official channel, get it and install it the same way as before — your phone will automatically replace the old version with the new one, so you do not need to uninstall separately.

Keep in mind: update APKs must also always come from the official source. Avoid any file sent on Telegram or Facebook claiming to be a "new version".

Common Issues and Solutions

Having trouble installing? Check the common causes below — most of the time the solution is found here.

Not Enough Storage

If there is not enough free space on your phone, the installation will stop. Delete unnecessary photos, videos or apps to free up at least a few hundred megabytes, then try again.

Installation Is Being Blocked

If the "Install from unknown sources" option is not enabled in your phone's settings, the installation will be blocked. Go to Settings → Security or Privacy and grant this permission for your browser or file manager app.

App Won't Open

If the app does not open after installation, restart your phone once. If the problem continues, uninstall the app and install it again. Also check that your internet connection is working.

Installation Stops Midway

The installation process does not require internet, but if the file download was incomplete it will cause a problem. Get the file again from the official channel and try installing once more.

Watch Out for Fake APKs

Many fake APKs are circulating online that look like the real thing but may contain malware. Installing these files can put your account and banking information at risk.

  • Only get the APK from takabet's official channel — nowhere else.
  • Never install an APK file sent in a Telegram group or channel — no matter how trustworthy it seems.
  • Avoid any "takabet APK" links found in Facebook posts, comments or messages.
  • Do not download APKs from unfamiliar websites or short links.
  • If in doubt, ask on takabet's 24/7 live chat support — help is available in Bangla.
